Theresa Ward grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. She is a proud graduate of Southeast High School, as well as Penn Valley Community College and Tuskegee University. She is the youngest of nine outstanding siblings; four have gone on to glory. She has a host of amazing nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Miss Theresa Ward has a corporate background and dabbles in the non-profit sector. She pushes for giving back to neighborhoods. A smile as well as a hug is needed at the highest level today. Her love is the family unit, friends, and community.
Her interests include, but are not limited to, the arts, documentaries, political debates, fiery conversation, wine, reading, great pasta, fine chocolates and genres of various music, with jazz being her favorite.
She is appreciative to her mother and father for pushing her to be whatever she desired in this life. Theresa’s parents impressed on her that wealth and respect would come later, so work hard and earn an honest dollar. Have humility about where you come from, and respect for others will open heaven’s doors and cause God to smile.
This book started off as a Novella. The year, 2015. In a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. I and 3 other women got together in the home of one of the writers. Each woman had to come up with an idea for the name of our collaboration. I penned the name She Wore The Name, It was chosen out of the other names submitted, to be used as the title.
Years passed. Each writer went their own way with their respected manuscript. I relocated back to my hometown of Kansas City, MO. Not one day went by in my heart about getting my story published. Winds calmed down after several years and a door opened for me to take a leap of faith to become published.
She Wore The Name is my salute to every woman.
